Itinerary Day by Day

Day 01: Arrive Yangon

Receive you from the Yangon International Airport according to the convenient time and transfer to hotel. After check-in at your hotel, a brief introduction by walking tour at old colonial style city center, the gilded Sule Pagoda dated back over 2,000 years and continue to the Strand Hotel, also one of the buildings built by British and China Town area. Dinner at a local cozy restaurant. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02: Yangon – Golden Rock (Kyaikhtio) (By Car)

This morning, pick you up from your hotel and drive to Kyaikhtiyo (some 200km – 3 hours). On the way, visit World War II Memorail Cemetary y Nga Thein Chaung village. Lunch at a local restaurant in Bago (on your own account). Arrive Kyaikhtio in the evening. From the base camp (Kinpun Sakan), it takes 45 minutes by open truck to the top of the mountain. You should take only light backpack and shoes to climp up the mountain as only one night will be on the top of the mountain. The Kyaikhtio Pagoda was built  on the big rock that is resting on the edge of the huge steep rock. Enjoy the sunset over the hill lock with panoramic view over the valley of Sittaung river, with green forest and mountain ranges. Overnight in Kyaikhtio.

Day 03: Golden Rock – Bago – Yangon (By Car)

After morning visit to Kyaikhtio Pagoda, cimb down by open truck to the base of the mountain to continue to Bago, which was the Mon capital in 15 century formerly known as Pegu. Visit Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of the most venerated pagodas in Myanmar. Shwe Tha Lyaung, most beautiful reclining Buda image in Myanmar, Hin Thargone Pagoda with its legendary Hamsa male and female birds, snake pagoda, Kyaikpun Pagoda with its four giant Budha images. Return back to Yangon and check-in at your hotel.

Day 04: Yangon – Heho – Pindaya – Kalaw  (By Flight)


Fly to Heho this morning to visit eastern Shan state.  On arrival at Heho, transfer to Pindaya, a small quiet little town where visit Pindaya caves with Buddha images in many different positions. Visit Sin Gaung monastery and Parasol Handmake working. Then, drive to Kalaw, 70 kilometers west of Taunggyi, the capital           of Southern Shan State. It was a very popular hill station during the British era. It is located 1320m above sea level, with cool and pleasant climate. Accommodation in Kalaw.

Day 05: Kalaw – Inle Lake

After breakfast, visit Kalaw and its market. After that, transfer to Inle Lake. On the way, visit Nyaung Shwe. Nyaung Shwe market and “Shwe Yan Pyay” monastery are among to visit. After that, transfer by boat to the hotel in Inle Lake. An excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include seeing the famous leg-rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant on the lake. The highlights on the lake are Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, Nga Phe Chaung Monastery with a collection of ancient Shan-style Buddha images and other sites such as blacksmiths, silversmiths, weaving looms, etc. Overnight on the lake.

Day 06: Inle – Indein

After breakfast, visit around Inle Lake and Indein. Visit Indain old pagodas and back to hotel in the evening.

Day 07: Inle – Heho – Mandalay (By Flight)

Fly to Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar‘s king in 1885. Upon arrival, the driver will drive firstly to Amarapura to visit Mahagandayone Monastery, home to some 800 monks and one of the most prestigious monasteries in Myanmar. Afterward, you will take a stroll over a historic bridge, known as U Bein Bridge and originally built in 1851, spanning over the Taungthaman Lake. Proceed to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant (Shan Buffet). On this afternoon’s sightseeing, continue to Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung (or Golden Palace Monastery) to marvel at a superb traditional wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda (also known as the world’s largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures and enjoy the  sunset from Mandalay Hill. Accommodation in Mandalay.

Day 08: Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay

After breakfast in the morning, visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Mandalay’s most fabled religious monument where you will have an awe inspiring view of a Buddha image covered with chunky layers of gold foils, and visit to a gold leaf making workshop and observe how to make hand-made gold leaves and the Royal Palace and visit local Zey Gyo market. In the afternoon, transfer to jetty to enjoy the boat trip to Mingun. Lunch at the river side restaurant. Mingun is situated about 11 km (one hour each way) upstream from Mandalay. Visit the unfinished Mingun Temple , originally built with the intention of being the world’s biggest pagoda, the Mingun Bell, weighing 87 tons and being the world’s largest intact bronze bell, the elegant Hsinbyume Pagoda, with its ornate 7 circular terraces. Return to Mandalay in the evening. Accommodation in Mandalay.

Day 09: Mandalay – Sagaing – Ava – Mandalay

After breakfast, visit Sagaing Hill where you can see from the hill lots of white and gold pagodas along the Irrawaddy River. Visita Swan Oo Ponyashin Pagoda, U Min Thone Sae. Observe ways of life of nun monastery from Sagaing Hill. Alter that, drive to “Ava”. On the way from Sagaing to Ava, you can visit handmade silverware workshop. Excursion to the old royal capital of INWA (Ava), can be made with a ponny-trap riding. Visit to Ava’s Leaning Tower called “Nan Myint”, “Maha Aungmyae Bonzan” monastery made with stucco brick and Bagayar monastery famous for its impressive woodcarvings with teak woods. Return to Mandalay and overnight in Mandalay.

Day 10: Mandalay – Mt.Popa – Bagan (By Car)

After breakfast, depart to Bagan from Mandalay (133km – 4 hrs to approx) drive by car. On the way, visit Mount Popa (about 55km – 1hr approx), an extinct volcano and an oasis in the scorched plain Myingyan. Mount Popa is known as the home of the “Nats” spirits among the locals. For sports enthusiasts, there is time fo climp up 777 steps upper part of volcanic plug. Then, continue to Bagan. Arrive at Bagan in the evening. Check-in at your hotel. Enjoy the sunset by boat along Ayeyarwaddy River. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 11: Bagan – Visits

After breakfast, highlights on this morning’s tour include Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of pagodas in Myanmar, Wetkyi-in Gu Byauk Gyi Temple with fine tempera mural paintings depicting the life stories of Buddha, and Ananda Temple, the most aesthetically beautiful monument in Bagan. Enjoy a lunch at a riverside restaurant. In the afternoon, visit a lacquer craftsman’s workshop to discover the intricate process of making lacquer wares. Continue to Manuha Temple with a large seated Buddha Image, enshrined in a relatively small sanctum, illustrating the melancholy of a confined king, and Nanbaya Temple with noted perforated windows and friezes, a unique sandstone monument that is said to have been the residence of King Manuha. Next, to Myingaba Gu Byauk Gyi Temple, a Mon-style temple renowned for its fine frescoes, preserved by UNESCO. A visit to Shwesandaw pagoda, a perfect spot to enjoy a magnificent sunset, will conclude the day. Enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Bagan.

Day 12: Bagan (by Ebikes)

After breakfast around 8:00 a 3 hours electric bicycles tour will be started from the hotel to Old Bagan visiting Shwegugyi, Dhammayangyi and Thetbyinyu temples via the ox cart track to get a different travel experience through the Bagan monuments. Take a break at the local coffee shop to have cold drink under the shade or return to hotel to relax.
In the evening take the horsecart ride through Taung Phee village and visit Nat Laung Kyang and enjoy the sunset at Bu Paya. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 13: Bagan – Thandwe – Ngapali Beach (By Flight/ Car)

Ngapali Beach

After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Thandwe. Upon arrival, the staff from hotel will welcome you at the airport. Transfer to hotel. Relax at the beach. Overnight at the beach.

Freeday and leasure at the beach. Overnight at the beach.

Day 16: Ngapali Beach – Thandwe – Yangon (By Flight)

After breakfast, transfer to airport to fly back to Yangon. Upon arrival, visit Bogyoke Market (formerly known as Scott Market), where you can find famous jades and jewelries where you can find Myanmar famous gems and jewelry sales centers, Myanmar traditional products such as slippers, longyi’s etc.. After lunch at local restaurant, visit to Chauk Htat Gyi reclining image which was the third largest reclining image in Myanmar. Stop for photos at the Kandawgyi Garden, where Karaweik Hall, and a floating royal barge with backdrop of lushed trees and an idyllic lake and followed by the massive Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar culture.

Day 17: Yangon Departure

A free day to catch up on some last minute shopping at the Bogyoke Market or enjoy the panoramic view from the Sakura Tower. Transfer to Yangon International Airport.
