Itinerary Day by Day

Day 01: Arrive Yangon

On arrival at Yangon Internacional Airport  you will be met by our driver and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore Yangon, the golden gate to Myanmar.  The location of your hotel make you able to move around yourself to see the local life and street foods in hustling bustling way. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02: Night Bus to Mandalay

After breakfast, visita Yangon with your private driver and car to visit  the massive Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar culture. Visit to Bogyoke  Market  (formerly known as Scott Market), where you can find famous jades and jewelries where you can find Myanmar famous gems and jewellery sales centers, Myanmar traditional products such as slippers, longyi’s etc. And walking tour at old colonial style city center, the gilded  Sule Pagoda dated back over 2,000 years and continue to the Strand Hotel, also one of the buildings built by British. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit to Chauk Htat Gyi reclining image which was the third largest reclining image in Myanmar. Stop for photos at the Kandawgyi Garden, where Karaweik Hall, and a floating royal barge with backdrop of lushed trees and an idyllic lake. After that, transfer to the bus station for the trip to Mandalay by night bus.

Day 03: Mingun and Mandalay

After breakfast, pick up by your local guide for the transfer to jetty to join the group boat trip to Mingun.  Mingun is situated about 11 km (one hour each way) upstream from Mandalay. Visit the unfinished Mingun Temple , originally built with the intention of being the world’s biggest pagoda, the Mingun Bell, weighing 87 tons and being the world’s largest intact bronze bell, the elegant Hsinbyume Pagoda, with its ornate 7 circular terraces. Return to Mandalay by boat. In the evening, continue to Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung (or Golden Palace Monastery) to marvel at a superb traditional wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda (also known as the world’s largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures and enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Day 04: Mandalay, Sagaing & Amarapura

After breakfast in the morning,  visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Mandalay’s most fabled religious monument where you will have an awe inspiring view of a Buddha image covered with chunky layers of gold foils, and visit to a gold leaf making factory and observe how to make hand-made gold leaves and the Jade Market of Mandalay. After that, visit Sagaing Hill where you can see from the hill lots of white and gold pagodas along the Irrawaddy River. Visita Swan Oo Ponyashin Pagoda, U Min Thone Sae. Return back to Mandalay. On the way, stop at Amarapura to take a stroll over a historic bridge, known as U Bein Bridge and originally built in 1851, spanning over the Taungthaman Lake. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 05: Public Bus to Bagan

Today pick up by the public bus for trip to Bagan (around 4 hours drive). Enjoy the trip with beautiful scenery. Arrival in Mandalay. Pick up by your local driver and car to transfer to your hotel. Accommodation in Mandalay.

Day 06: Bagan by ebikes

After breakfast, pick up by your local guide with ebikesto visit Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of pagodas in Myanmar, Wetkyi-in Gu Byauk Gyi Temple with fine tempera mural paintings depicting the life stories of Buddha, and Ananda Temple, the most aesthetically beautiful monument in Bagan. Enjoy a lunch at a riverside restaurant. In the afternoon, visit a lacquer craftsman’s workshop to discover the intricate process of making lacquer wares. Continue to Manuha Temple with a large seated Buddha Image, enshrined in a relatively small sanctum, illustrating the melancholy of a confined king, and Nanbaya Temple with noted perforated windows and friezes, a unique sandstone monument that is said to have been the residence of King Manuha. Next, to Myingaba Gu Byauk Gyi Temple, a Mon-style temple renowned for its fine frescoes, preserved by UNESCO. A visit to Shwesandaw pagoda, a perfect spot to enjoy a magnificent sunset, will conclude the day. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 07: Bagan by ebikes

After breakfast, pick up by your local guide with ebikes to visit around 8am (maxi 3 hours) from the hotel to Old Bagan visiting Shwegugyi, Dhammayangyi, Thetbyinyu temples through the ox-cart track to get a different travel experience through the Bagan’s monuments. Take a break at the local coffee shop to have cold drink under the shade. Return to hotel. In the evening, take the horsecart riding through Taung Phee village and visit Nat Laung Kyang and enjoy the sunset at Bu Paya. Return to hotel. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 08: Mount Popa

After breakfast, depart to Bagan from Mandalay (133km – 4 hrs to approx) drive by car. On the way, visit Mount Popa(about 55km – 1hr approx), an extinct volcano and an oasis in the scorched plain Myingyan . Mount Popa is known as the home of the “Nats” spirits among the locals. For sports enthusiasts, there is time fo climb up 777 steps upper part of volcanic plug. Then, continue to Bagan. Arrive at Bagan in the evening. Check-in at your hotel. Enjoy the sunset by boat along Ayeyarwaddy River. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 09: Public Bus to Nyaung Shwe

After breakfast, pick up from the bus company to transfer to the bus station for the trip to Nyaung Shwe (some 345km, 7 hours in bus). Arrive Nyaung Shwe, which is a jetty town closer to Inle Lake. Meet with our boat driver for the timing and excursion for tomorrow. He will assist you to transfer to your hotel by trishaw from the bus station. Check-in at your hotel, and you can walk around the town this evening by yourself such as local market and Shwe Yan Pyae monastery. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 10: Inle Lake

Kyauk Daing village

After breakfast, an excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include seeing the famous leg-rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant on the lake. The highlights on the lake are Phaungdaw Oo PagodaNga Phe Chaung Monastery with a collection of ancient Shan-style Buddha images. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 11: Sankar

After breakfast, visit to Sankar (2hrs approx.) by boat. Visit 5 days market at Kyauk Daing village (Shan), mostly live on earthenware pottery works. By walking through in Sankar village, you can observe local rice mill factory, making bullock cart wheels. Pristine culture and traditional life-style o the ethnic groups of Pa-O and Intha inhabited around Sankar and Hmawbi area. Then excursion down from lake, beautiful landscaping, flowering trees and settlements of dotted on both side of the canal can be seen. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 12: Walking tour around Inle Lake

This morning your local guide from Inle will come and pick you up from your hotel and trekking to Indein. You will enjoy the walking through Bamboo forest, streams where buffalos are bathing, rice fields to pass through to visit Pa O villages such as Sin Mike village. In the evening, transfer by canoe to the Nyaung Shwe jetty. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 13: Pindaya

This morning, visit to Pindaya, a small quiet little town where visit Pindaya caves with Buddha images in many different positions. Visit Sin Gaung monastery and Parasol Handmake working. Return back to Nyaung Shwe in the late evening. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 14: Fly back to Yangon

This morning, transfer to the Heho airport to fly back to Yangon. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel. The rest of the day will be free to pursue your individual interests. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 15: Yangon Departure

Bogyoke Market

A free day to catch up on some last minute shopping at the Bogyoke Market or enjoy the panoramic view from the Sakura Tower. Transfer to Yangon International Airport.
