Itinerary Day by Day

Day 01: Arrive Yangon

Receive you from the Yangon International Airport according to the convenient time and transfer to hotel. After check-in at your hotel, a brief introduction by walking tour at old colonial style city center, the gilded Sule Pagoda dated back over 2,000 years and continue to the Strand Hotel, also one of the buildings built by British and China Town area. Dinner at a local cozy restaurant. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02: Yangon – Bagan (By Flight/ Car)

Danyingon market

Meeting at 5am in the lobby and heading to Shwedagon pagoda (breakfast in box can be provided). After taking 2 hours in Shwedagon Pagoda, heading to the train station to take a circular train trip. On the return, stop at Danyingon market in Insein and then ride back to Yangon. Free and easy in the afternoon. In the evening, meeting at the office for the first photo criteria and then transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan. Upon your arrival, transfer and check-in at your hotel. Accommodation in Bagan.

Day 03: Bagan

Sunrise in Bagan on top of Bu Le Thi temple, then heading to the monastery to get photos of modeling novice. After that, visit Nyaung U market, get the different perspective views Bagan´s temple in Old Bagan area such as Sulamuni temples, Htilominlo temple etc. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to hotel for a break. In the evening, visit by horsecarts to “Taung Phee Village” and photo around the village and sunset from Pyatthadargyi temple. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 04: Bagan

This early morning, transfer to the Bagan Viewing Tower for the sunrise. Return back to hotel for the breakfast. After resting some few hours, take a boat ride to Tan Kyi hill located across the Ayeyrarwaddy River. Visit local village and famous pagoda. Return back to Bagan. In the evening, visit pagodas and temples of new Bagan. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 05: Bagan – Mt.Popa – Mandalay (By Car) Sunset at Amarapura

Mount Popa

After breakfast depart from Bagan to Mandalay (133km – 4 hours approx). On the way, visit Mount Popa (about 55km – 1hr approx. from Bagan), an extinct volcano and an oasis in the scorched plain Myingyan. Among local villages Mount Popa is known as the home of the “Nats” spirits. Learn the history and culture of 37 nats from Mt.Popa. Then, continues to Mandalay.
Arrive at Mandalay in the evening and check into your hotel. Then transfer to Amarapura, to stroll along the historic bridge, known as U Bein Bridge originally built in 1851, which extends over the Taungthaman lake and the world´s longest teakwood bridge. Return to Mandalay and overnight in Mandalay.

Day 06: Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay

Mahamuni Pagoda

After breakfast, visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Mandalay’s most fabled religious monument where you will have an awe inspiring view of a Buddha image covered with chunky layers of gold foils. After that, transfer to jetty to enjoy the boat trip to Mingun. Situated about 11 km (one hour each way) upstream from Mandalay. Visit the unfinished Mingun Temple , originally built with the intention of being the world’s biggest pagoda, the Mingun Bell, weighing 87 tons and being the world’s largest intact bronze bell, the elegant Myatheindan Pagoda with its ornate 7 circular terraces. Return to Mandalay by boat. In the evening, visit Mandalay hill and surroundings such as Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung (or Golden Palace Monastery) to marvel at a superb traditional wooden building, Kuthodaw Pagoda (also known as the world’s largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures and enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Accommodation in Mandalay.

Day 07: Mandalay – Sagaing – Inwa – Mandalay

After breakfast, visit Sagaing Hill where you can see from the hill lots of white and gold pagodas along the Irrawaddy River. Visita Swan Oo Ponyashin Pagoda, U Min Thone Sae. Observe ways of life of nun monastery from Sagaing Hill. Alter that, drive to “Ava”. On the way from Sagaing to Ava, you can visit handmade silverware workshop. Excursión to the old royal capital of INWA (Ava), can be made with a ponny-trap riding. Visit to Ava’s Leaning Tower called “Nan Myint”, “Maha Aungmyae Bonzan” monastery made with stucco brick and Bagayar monastery famous for its impressive woodcarvings with teak woods. Return to Mandalay and overnight in Mandalay.

Sagaing Hill

Day 8 Mandalay – Heho – Inle Lake (By Flight/Car/Boat)

Inle Lake

Fly to Heho this morning to visit eastern Shan state. On arrival at Heho, transfer to transfer to Inle Lake. On the way, visit Nyaung Shwe. Nyaung Shwe market and “Shwe Yan Pyay” monastery are among to visit. After that, transfer by boat to Inle Lake. An excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include seeing the famous leg-rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant on the lake. The highlights on the lake are Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, Nga Phe Chaung Monastery with a collection of ancient Shan-style Buddha images and other sites such as blacksmiths, silversmiths, weaving looms, etc. Overnight on the lake or in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 9 Sankar

After breakfast at hotel, visit to Sankar (2hrs approx) by boat. Visit 5 days market at Kyauk Daing village (Shan), mostly live on earthernware pottery works. By walking through in Sankar village, you can observe local rice mill factory, making bullock cart wheels. Pristine culture and traditional life-style o the ethnic groups of Pa-O and Intha inhabited around Sankar and Hmawbi area. Then excursion down from lake, beautiful landscaping, flowering trees and settlements of dotted on both side of the canal can be seen. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants and overnight in Inle Lake or Nyaung Shwe.

Day 10: Nyaung Shwe – Heho – Yangon (By Flight/Car/Boat)

Time this morning to transfer by road to Heho Airport (25m -1 hour) to fly back to Yangon. Upon your arrival, transfer to hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to pursue individual interests. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 11: Yangon Departure

A free day to catch up on some last minute shopping at the Bogyoke Market or enjoy the panoramic view from the Sakura Tower. Transfer to Yangon International Airport.
