Itinerary Day by Day

Day 01: Arrive Yangon

On arrival at Yangon International Airport you will be met by our driver and transferred to your Hotel.
Then a walking tour including the old colonial style city centre, the gilded Sule Pagoda dating back over 2,000 years and continue to the famous Strand Hotel, a fine example of British colonial architecture.
Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02: Bagan

Early morning flight to Bagan and transfer to your hotel (if the room is available).
Highlights on this morning’s tour include Shwezigon Pagoda – the prototype of Pagodas in Myanmar, Wetkyi in Gu Byauk Gyi Temple with its fine tempera mural paintings depicting the life stories of Buddha, and Ananda Temple the most aesthetically beautiful monument in Bagan. Enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant.
In the afternoon visit a lacquer workshop to discover the intricate process of making lacquer ware. Continue to Manuha Temple with its large seated Buddha image enshrined in a relatively small sanctum, illustrating the melancholy of a confined king. Nanbaya Temple with its noted perforated windows and friezes is a unique sandstone monument, said to have been the residence of King Manuha. Next is the Myingaba Gu Byauk Gyi Temple, a Mon style temple renowned for its fine frescoes preserved by UNESCO. A visit to Shwesandaw Pagoda a perfect spot to enjoy a magnificent sunset will conclude the day.
Overnight in Bagan.

Day 03: Bagan (by Ebikes)

After breakfast around 8:00 a 3 hours electric bicycles tour will be started from the hotel to Old Bagan visiting Shwegugyi, Dhammayangyi and Thetbyinyu temples via the ox cart track to get a different travel experience through the Bagan monuments. Take a break at the local coffee shop to have cold drink under the shade or return to hotel to relax.
In the evening take the horsecart ride through Taung Phee village and visit Nat Laung Kyang  and enjoy the sunset at Bu Paya. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 04: Bagan – Mt.Popa – Mandalay (by car)

Mount Popa

After breakfast departure from Bagan to Mandalay (133km – 4 hours approx). Stop at Mount Popa for some breathtaking photo opportunities.
Among local villagers Mount Popa is known as the home of the “Nats” spirits. Learn the history and culture of the 37 Nats from Mt.Popa. Evening arrival in Mandalay early evening and check into your hotel. Then to Amarapura, to stroll along the historic and much photographed U Bein Bridge, the world´s longest teakwood bridge built in 1851. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 05: Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay

Morning visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Mandalay’s most fabled religious monument and visit a gold leaf making factory to see golden leaves being made by hand. A visit to Royal Palace and the local Zey Gyo market completes the morning.
Afternoon transfer to jetty to enjoy the boat trip to Mingun. See the unfinished Mingun Temple, the Mingun Bell weighing 87 tons and the elegant whitewashed Hsinbyume Pagoda with its ornate 7 circular terraces. Return to Mandalay in the evening. Accommodation in Mandalay.

Day 06: Mandalay – Sagaing – Ava – Mandalay

Sagaing Hill

After breakfast, visit Sagaing Hill where you can see the white and gold Pagodas seeking tranquility along the Arrawaddy River. Visit Swan Oo Ponyashin Pagoda and U Min Thone Sae.
Transfer to the ancient city of Inwa and ride a horse carriage (Ponny-trap) to the Clock Tower Nanmyint, the Maha Aungmyae Bonzan monastery and the Bagayar monastery, famous for its impressive ornate teak wood carvings. Return to Mandalay.

Day 07: Mandalay – Heho  – Inle Lake (By Flight/ Car/ Boat)

Fly to Heho, then transfer to Inle Lake. On the way, visit Nyaung Shwe. Nyaung Shwe market and Shwe Yan Pyay monastery.
Transfer by boat to Inle Lake. An excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include seeing the famous leg-rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant on the lake. See the Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, Nga Phe Chaung Monastery and local blacksmiths, silversmiths, and weavers at work. Overnight stay on the lake.

Inle Lake

Day 08: Inle – Indein

Indain old pagodas

After breakfast visit around Inle Lake and Indein. Visit Indain old pagodas and floating villages such as Ywa Ma, Nam Pam and Inn Paw Khone. Back to hotel in the evening

Day 09: Nyaung Shwe – Heho – Yangon (By Flight/ Car)

Transfer to the Heho airport for your flight to Yangon. Our driver will meet you and transfer to your hotel. Visit the Bogyoke Market where you can find Yangon’s famous jade and jewelry sales centers as well as Myanmar’s traditional products such as slippers longyis etc. After lunch at local restaurant visit to Chauk Htat Gyi reclining image, the third largest reclining image in Myanmar. Stop for photos at the Kandawgyi Garden, featuring Karaweik Hall, a floating royal barge with its backdrop of lush trees and an idyllic lake.
Then to the massive Shwedagon Pagoda, a one of the wonders of the world, noted for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar culture. In the evening a walking tour in China Town. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 10: Yangon Departure

Yangon International Airport

A free day to catch up on some last minute shopping at the Bogyoke Market or enjoy the panoramic view from the Sakura Tower. Transfer to Yangon International Airport.
